Wiltshire Exam Centre was founded to provide affordable and accessible alternative qualifications and courses. Our clients are home educated young people and other private candidates who may be self-studying or in need of some direction and support.

Over time we have added more qualification and course options for home educators and for young people who have not been able to get the support they needed at school. These options include ASDAN short courses (portfolio-based programmes) and the Prince's Trust PDE, which is a regulated qualification. Most recently we have added the AQA Unit Award Scheme, which provides recognition of achievement in a wide variety of skills and subject areas.

This site aims to answer any questions you may have, but feel free to contact us with any further queries.

Functional Skills ending

We have regrettably made the decision to cease all Functional Skills provision with effect from June/July 2023. These will be processed as normal, with a £25 deposit and the balance payable when booking exams.

Registrations are open for Maths until 10th January, and we will accept a limited number of applications for English - please note, you/the learner will need to be flexible regarding the SLC component, as there will only be two opportunities to sit this. all English registrations must pay for the exams in full upfront, this is to minimise risk to other learners.

As previously advised, Open Awards are ceasing provision for ICT from February so we are no longer able to accept new ICT bookings.
